Seriously though
I have reflected on CF a lot these past few weeks, and I've come to realize that it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. Screw vegetarian, screw the elliptical machine, CrossFit and paleo are where it's at. I look so good and feel so level-headed...plus, I know all about Tabata and metabolic pathways, and there's pretty much no way anyone will catch me ever again on any machine except the Concept 2 or in the upstairs fitness center at Williams. It's kind of liberating.

It is the best. Did you read the CrossFit journal article that included the SF Weekly article saying that the CrossFit SF gym (2 shipping containers and some tents) was voted the best gym in SF? In all my time, I have never seen a regimen like this. What is funny is that it is similar to some of the best programs I have done over the years, including plebe year at USNA where we had this demon named Heinz Lenz running the show with us on the ground in front of him while he was standing on a tower giving us "instructions." Whenever we were between exercises, he would yell "bounce, bounce." He was a strong advocate of eating meat and vegetables. Got us strong very quickly.
