More runs? AAAAAAAGH

Today I came in and Nicole was on the board (AMRAP 20 min 400m run and max pull ups), and I was not so thrilled.  Dan asked if I wanted to do another workout, and I said sure, thinking I would be getting away from those 400m runs.  Again, not so!  

I did:
AMRAP 20 min
400m run
25 squats
I managed 5 rounds.

It's the runs that kill me.  I had to walk a part of each one of them, I think.  But I think I am slowly getting better at sticking it out.  Afterwards, Dan gave me some pointers on form which I think will help a lot once I can do them without (1) thinking too much about them and (2) looking ridiculous.

  1. Wow, that is a tough workout - proud of you for doing the 5 runs, hurts to think about it. I think you are not too bad at running. I have been doing it since 1969, and you are already as fast as I am on the 400 meters. Your running may be like my pushups, pullups, anything upper body; Dan told me the other day not to feel too embarrassed from doing pushups on my knees; I didn't say it, but doing this kind of thing, I have no shame. If I did have, there would be so many things in life I never had done.
